Funerals

Both Dundonald Parish Church and Symington Parish Church are available should you need to arrange a funeral service.

Anyone can call on the services of a Church of Scotland minister, regardless of membership or relationship with the Church.

If you would like the funeral service to take place in either church, you should get in touch with Rev Tom McLeod (Interim Moderator) as soon as possible, and make your funeral director aware of your choice.

Church Capacity

Although both churches are beautiful places to celebrate the life of a loved one, they are not the same size, and therefore a funeral service in which a large number of mourners are expected might better be accommodated in Dundonald Parish Church, which can seat roughly 150 people. Symington Parish Church can seat roughly 80 people.

Funeral Costs

There is a small fee for the use of a church, the services of the church officer, the organist, and sound/video operator if you wish to live stream the service or play sound or video during the service. Your funeral director will look after these arrangements for you.
